Stroud Sharks Summer League 2025 - Rules and Format

SUMMER LEAGUE DETAILS

•  £240 per Team which Includes: Jersey (8 included), Court, Referee and Table Official ​

• 5 Weeks

• 5 matches (3 x Group Matches, 1 x Semi Final and 1 x Final)

SUMMER LEAGUE MATCH FORMAT

• Warm-Up: 3 minutes

• Game Duration: 2 Halves of 20 minutes (Rolling Clock)

• Breaks:

  • 1 minute between halves

  • Timeouts: 1 x 1-minute timeout per team

• Substitutions: Rolling substitutions allowed

• Officials: Minimum of 1 Referee and 1 Table Official per match

SUMMER LEAGUE MATCH RULES

• Team Registration:

  • All players must be named and registered to a team

  • Minimum of 8 registered players per team; no maximum limit

  • Players are only permitted to play for one team during the league

• On-Court Play:

  • Maximum of 5 players on court per team

  • Fouls result in a single free throw, counting for the number of points being attempted

• Game Control:

  • Referees may pause the clock for excessive stoppages

  • Referees may issue warnings, followed by point deductions for:

  • Deliberate time-wasting

  • Deliberate or excessive fouling

• Discipline & Conduct:

  • Serious fouls or conduct may result in players being removed from the court

  • Aggressive or violent behavior will result in immediate dismissal

  • Players must wear appropriate uniforms and equipment as per league rules

  • Sportsmanship is mandatory; violations may lead to penalties or suspension
