2nd July 2025 - Tip Times: 18:30, 19:20, 20:10 & 21:00

9th July 2025 - Tip Times: 18:30, 19:20, 20:10 & 21:00

16th July 2025 - Tip Times: 18:30, 19:20, 20:10 & 21:00

23rd July 2025 - Tip Times: 18:30, 19:20, 20:10 & 21:00

Stroud Sharks Summer League 2025 - Rules and Format

SUMMER LEAGUE DETAILS

  • Includes: Jersey (8 included), Court, Referee and Table Official ​

  • 5 Weeks

  • 5 matches for all Teams (3 x Group Matches, 1 x Semi Final and 1 x Final)

SUMMER LEAGUE MATCH FORMAT

  • Warm-Up: 3 minutes

  • Game Duration: 2 Halves of 20 minutes (Rolling Clock) - Clock will stop for Time-Outs, Half Time and Last One Minute

  • Breaks:

    • 1 minute between halves

    • Timeouts: 1 x 1-minute timeout per team 

  • Substitutions: Rolling substitutions allowed - No need to wait for a dead ball, however, the player must leave the court on any side before the new player can enter.

  • Officials: Minimum of 1 Referee and 1 Table Official per match

SUMMER LEAGUE MATCH RULES

  • Team Registration:

    • All players must be named and registered to a team

    • Minimum of 8 registered players per team; no maximum limit

    • Players are only permitted to play for one team during the summer league

  • On-Court Play:

    • Maximum of 5 players on court per team (Breach result: Penalty points deduction of 2 points +any baskets scored. Possession also returns or remains with to the opposite team)

    • Fouls result in a single free throw, counting for the number of points being attempted

  • Game Control:

    • Referees may pause the clock for excessive stoppages

    • Referees may issue warnings, followed by 5 minute player sin-bins and point deductions for:

      • Deliberate time-wasting

      • Deliberate or excessive fouling

    • Team Fouls will be recorded and a single free throw worth 2 points will be awarded ​on the 5th foul upwards (foul count resets at the end of the half.

  • Discipline & Conduct:

    • Serious fouls or conduct may result in players being removed from the court

    • Aggressive or violent behaviour will result in immediate dismissal

    • Players must wear appropriate uniforms and equipment as per league rules

    • Sportsmanship is mandatory; violations may lead to penalties or suspension
